Details of PASG 2026 in Perth WA, 11-13 October 2026
I am deeply grateful to have been invited to attend as a keynote speaker and present my work on the long-term treatment needs of adult survivors.
I am a doctor, researcher, specialist mental health practitioner, author, and adult survivor of parental alienation. I am also the author of The Healing Qualia Treatment Protocol (HQTP), a specialist clinical textbook containing the world’s first phase-based protocol for mental health professionals working with adult survivors of child psychological abuse related to parental alienation, familial abduction, estrangement, coercive control, and severe family-system harm.
My central message is simple but urgent: the children caught in these dynamics GROW UP, and the harm does not end when childhood does. If adult survivors are not recognised, treated, and given clear psychoeducation about what happened to them, the trauma may continue through adult relationships and into the next generation. "Every Second Counts Towards Stopping Suicide" (Price-Tobler, 2026) among the family members affected by this complex, misunderstood, and largely silent epidemic, interrupting intergenerational harm, and helping survivors reclaim their lives.
The HQTP is designed to help clinicians recognise these presentations, move beyond symptom management, and support survivors to understand their childhood experiences, reclaim their identity and autonomy, build safer relationships, and make informed choices about possible contact with targeted or estranged family members. This protocol has been almost ten years in the making. During that time, I have received no external funding for research, writing, or development. Much of the work has been completed in unpaid hours at night and on weekends alongside my related PhD twin study, clinical practice, and family responsibilities. Any support through this CrowdRaiser will help me take time away from private practice to continue this specialised work and turn the protocol into practical resources for clinicians, survivors, and families.
Funds raised will help me take time away from private practice to prepare a specialised keynote address and continue developing this work. Contributions may also support conference books for display and distribution, printed clinical and survivor resources, presentation materials, awareness merchandise, educational recordings, and future training resources for targeted parents, grandparents, friends and family members, mental health practitioners, and community professionals.
By supporting this CrowdRaiser, you are helping move the field beyond identifying and studying child psychological abuse related to parental alienation and all its contexts toward treating the adult aftermath and interrupting its intergenerational repetition so it is not passed down to the next generations.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help.
Lastly, please share this page; it can help extend the reach of this work, interrupt intergenerational harm, and contribute to reducing suicide among affected family members.
Thank you for believing in my work and for helping carry it forward with care, hope, and purpose.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Alyse Price-Tobler, PhD
Child abuse researcher, specialist clinical psychotherapist, mental health practitioner, author, and adult survivor.
