Scott Breschkin and Nicola Masters will present on the progress and results of the Golden Kelp Restoration Project, which began in 2022.

Scott Breschkin is from The Nature Conservancy Australia. He leads several marine restoration projects in Victoria, including restoring golden kelp and shellfish reefs.

Scott will be joined by Nicola Masters, a researcher from Melbourne University School of Biosciences. Nicola recently completed a two-year study on seaweed restoration in Port Phillip Bay. Nicola also led a monitoring program at Jawbone and Ricketts Point marine sanctuaries on the transition of urchin barrens into restored kelp habitats.
